Safer Summer Getaway Activities

School is out, which means it’s officially summertime! It’s the season to get out and explore, but COVID-19 has made vacations a little bit tricky. Experts are saying our options are definitely limited, but not all hope is lost. You may not be able to hop on a plane easily and head to a crowded but popular resort, but we’ve got some ideas of places you can visit in your RV, where you can spread out, stay way more than 6 feet apart from strangers, and enjoy nature, away from germs. It’s time to take advantage of our beautiful Texas landscape, so pack up the RV and let’s go!

According to a recent health article on NPR.org, experts are saying that camping is the way to go.

“As far as summer activities go, this is least risky from a virus perspective,” says Rebecca Katz, director of the Center for Global Health Science and Security at Georgetown University Medical Center. That’s because you’re in the great outdoors, isolated from others. “It’s more dangerous if you’re at a crowded campground with a shared restroom and communal picnic areas.” But stick to the safety of your own RV and you’re extra golden.
