After 17 years as the Controller for Cox Communications, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas, Sylvia Ynman joined her husband, Larry, in their family Insurance agency in 1999. In 2002, Sylvia became a District Operations Manager with Farmers Insurance and after eight years of serving her clients diverse insurance needs, Sylvia knew she desired to work for a company whose main objective was helping people – all while allowing her to build personal relationships with each of her clients. In 2010, Sylvia along with her husband and son founded SOGO Wealth and Risk Management which gave her a platform to be able to educate and prepare families.
Sylvia is a proud, wife, mother and grandmother, whose purest form of joy comes when she is with her family; even when her house is not filled with the laughter of her grandkids she always finds entertainment in her two cats Mr. Snow and Tinkerbell. Sylvia has taken on the role in her office as leader and mentor, and ardently encourages women of all ages to take pride in how far they have come and have faith in how far they will go. She is committed to community involvement and is an active member of San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, The Elf Louise Program, Father Flanagan’s Boys Town and March of Dimes.
